Walleye, smallmouth bass and northern pike are the three main targets fishing out of Pine Island Lodge, but the fun doesn't end there; our guides know where to locate sauger, perch, and sturgeon.
The Winnipeg River is an abundant fishery with an endless variety of structure holding trophy fish in large lake-like areas, bays studded with spruce and birch covered islands, rocky reefs, immense weed beds, submerged gravel bars that step from 8 ft. to 100 ft. of water, and coves and inlets fringed with lily pads and wild rice.
You don't have to be an angler to enjoy our area. Outdoor enthusiasts and photographers are also welcome at Pine Island Lodge. This transitional area–where the granite outcroppings of the Great Canadian Shield meet the Prairie–holds abundant wildlife including black bear, moose, white-tail dear, eagles, otters, woodland caribou, wolves, coyotes, and more!
